Sam Kaul appeared in 30 matches and 118 sets during her junior season ... finished fifth on the Matadors with 176 kills (1.49 kps) while ranking second on the squad hitting .317 (sixth in the Big West) ... was also the teams second leading blocker with 100 total blocks (14 solo, 85 assists) for a 0.85 blocks per set average ...already ranks in the CSUN Career Top-10 in hitting percentage and needs 40 blocks this season to move into the top-10 in blocking ...also added 41 digs and seven aces during her junior season ...struck for a career-high 12 kills while hitting .524 in CSUN's 3-2 win at UC Davis (Nov. 30) that wrapped up a share of the Big Westtitle ... also had 10 kills against both No. 11 UCLA (Sept. 13) and UC Davis (Sept. 28) ... recorded a season-high seven blocks at Cal State Fullerton (Oct. 5) and vs. Cal Poly (Nov. 14) ... had a career-high five digs in the Matadors' 3-2 win over Colorado State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
