Last week against Southern Utah, freshman Eliza Matthews just missed her first career double, finishing with a career-high nine points and 11 rebounds. She was 4-of-8 from the field and added a block in 24 minutes of action. After missing five games due to injury, Matthews has played in the last three CSUN contests and is averaging 5.7 points and 6.7 rebounds over that span. For the season, the New Orleans native is averaging 4.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
