Freshman center Kylee Jansen has scored in every match thus far, with scoring multiple times against No.3 UCLA and CBU. The 5’10 freshman from Fresno notched her first career goal against Azusa Pacfic in the second quarter of the Matadors’ first match this season. Later in the day, Jansen would lead the team in scoring against No.3 UCLA with two goals. Jansen tallied three goals, two earned ejections, and one steal in the opening match against California Baptist on Sunday. She capped off a comeback in the fourth quarter when she scored back-to-back goals with 2:39 left in the game to tie the score even at eight apiece. Jansen would also score in the CSUN loss to No.9 Michigan.
