CSUN women's volleyball's Aeryn Owens had a solid week offensively as she helped the Matadors snap an eight-match slide in the process. The freshman outside hitter from Rancho Cucamonga, CA averaged 4.14 kills per set while hitting .313 on 67 attacks. Owens had 13 kills while hitting a season high .435 in Friday's win over UC Irvine then equaled her season-high with 16 kills (.250) against UC Davis. Owens was also named Big West Freshman Player of the Week (Sept. 28) becoming the first Matador to earn the weekly award since its inception in 2014.
