
#20 Cal State Northridge Falls To #6 Arizona State, 10-5

Riverside, Calif. – Sixth-ranked Arizona State jumped to a 2-1 first period lead and never looked back in eventually recording a 10-5 victory over #20 Cal State Northridge on Saturday morning at the Cal Baptist Invitational.
The Matadors have two more games on Saturday. At 1 p.m., Cal State Northridge faces #13 Hartwick followed by a 6 p.m. contest against Pomona-Pitzer.
The game was relatively close throughout the first three periods. ASU led 2-1 after one period, 5-3 at halftime, and 7-5 after three periods. However, the Sun Devils outscored the Matadors, 3-0, in the final frame to win, 10-5.
Four Matador players found the back of the ASU net. Lindsy Nelson scored two goals while Melissa Doll, Jenny Jamison and Marisa Young each collected a goal.
Seven different players scored for Arizona State.
Dana Harvey had five saves in goal for Cal State Northridge.
Arizona State is 6-0 while Cal State Northridge is 1-4.
