Matadors Wind Up 12th at Peg Barnard Invitational

STANFORD, Calif. - The CSUN women's golf team posted a three-shot improvement from Saturday's opening round but could not move up from 12th-place at the conclusion of the Peg Barnard Invitational Sunday at Stanford G.C.
Over 36 holes, the Matadors wound up with rounds of 309-306 to finish at 47 over-par 615 as a team. Oregon won the 12-team invitational with a team score of eight-over 576.
Individually, Arinda Bhanaraksa and Sharon Shin led CSUN as each tied for 36th at 10-over 152. Bhanaraksa followed up Saturday's first round 75 with a six-over 77 on Sunday while Shin carded a seven-over 78 in the final round after leading CSUN with a 74 on Saturday.
Cesilie Hagen had the Matadors' low round on Sunday firing a four-over 75 to finish tied for 43rd at 12-over 154. After a tough first round, Elisabeth Haavardsholm posted a 10-shot improvement on Sunday with a five-over 76 to finish tied for 56th at 20-over 162 while Rebecca Bostrom was 62nd at 22-over 164 following rounds of 81-83.
