- Fluker recorded her 61st career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in the first half before picking up her second foul of the opening stanza with 4:04 to play. - Trailing 25-22 midway through the third quarter, Fluker scored six points in a 59-second span to give the Matadors a 28-25 lead at the media timeout. CSUN did not allow a Santa Clara point over the final 5:51 of the third to take a 32-25 advantage into the fourth.
- A Destiny Brooks three-pointer capped off a 5-0 CSUN spurt to open the final stanza and gave the Matadors a 37-25 advantage. Santa Clara called time out with 8:12 remaining.
- The CSUN run would climb to 17-0 before Lindsey VanAllen scored with 7:00 to go. The Broncos rallied, making it 49-38 with 2:03 to play when Emily Wolph went coast to coast for a layup.
- Santa Clara began fouling with a minute to play. Meghann Henderson went to the charity stripe where she sank a pair of attempts. A Fluker 18-foot jumper with 13 seconds capped off the scoring, giving CSUN its second consecutive victory.
- Fluker went 11-of-14 from the field. She grabbed at least 20 rebounds in a game for the sixth time in her career. The 6-4 center also added three blocks and two assists.
- Fluker jumped two spots to 16th in Big West history in career points with 1,742. She is now 19 away from CSUN assistant coach Ashlee Guay's school record for career points which is 1,761.
- Juliana Louis matched her season high with eight points, six of which came in the second half.
- Santa Clara went without a point for 8:09 during the game changing CSUN run.
- The Broncos recorded only seven first half field goals, but two were from three-point range, keeping SCU in the game. The Santa Clara defense limited the Matadors to eight first half field goals (8-31) and only one three-pointer.
- No Bronco scored in double figures. Two players, Ashlyn Herilhy and Wolph led the team with seven points.
ACCORDING TO HEAD COACH JASON FLOWERS
- "The first half was probably as ugly as a basketball game as we have been a part of in the nine years we have been here. Both teams struggled to score. In the second half, our kids made some adjustments and made some shots. Channon's numbers speak for themselves. She was good in both halves. Juliana came up big in the second half with her energy that she provided off the bench. We got one, but we have two on this business trip. We have to go back now and prepare for a really good Cal team on Sunday and let it fly.
- CSUN travels to No. 15/18 California (6-0) Sunday afternoon. Tip is set for 2 p.m. The game will be streamed by Pac12.com
