CSUN Concludes 2018 T&F Season At NCAA Regionals

SACRAMENTO, Calif.—CSUN concluded the 2018 track and field season Saturday on the final day of the NCAA Division I West Regionals.
MEN
Matthew Arnold fouled on his first two attempts in the triple jump. On his final attempt, Arnold went a personal best 50-0 3/4. After flirting with the top 12 over the first two flights, Arnold would end up 23rd in the 48-man field.
Joshua Turner ran a season best time in the 110m hurdles, :14.16, but the time did not allow Turner to reach the top 12 and advance to the NCAA Championships. Turner's time would be the 20th fastest in the field of 24.
Clint Meyer's best throw in the shot put, 55-9, placed him 40th among the 48 who competed during the event.
Javari Fairclough did not start in the triple jump due to injury.
WOMEN
Sydney Mosley posted a season best time of :13.45 in the 100m hurdles. However, the performance fell short of advancing to the NCAA Championships. She would come in 18th in the field of 24.
Sydney Berry fouled on each of her three attempts in the triple jump.
"Today completes what has been a very progressive and intrinsically rewarding season for our Matador track and field student-athletes," said CSUN interim head coach Lawrence Johnson. "We had an unbelievable amount of season best and person records during these championships and we have experienced a great deal of success that we can continue to build on for years to come. I am proud of our team and our student leadership."
