NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—CSUN travels to UC Irvine Saturday afternoon for the Matadors' first Big West Conference road game of the 2018-19 campaign. BigWest.tv will have the coverage beginning at 2 p.m.

The Anteaters have the top overall record in the Big West at 11-2. UC Irvine defeated Cal Poly 75-59 to open league play last Saturday. Jordan Sanders is second in the Big West in scoring at 21.1 points per game which ranks her 15th in Division I to start this week. Sanders is third in the conference in field goal shooting (49.8%) and fourth in rebounding (7.2).

With 83 assists, Sanders' backcourt mate, Lauren Saiki, is the Big West leader in the category. She is 10th in Division I in assists per game (6.4). Saiki scored a game high 25 points against Cal Poly last week and is second on the team in scoring (12.7). This is the 54th time that CSUN and UCI are playing with the Matadors leading the all-time series 28-25. The teams split a pair of games last season with each team winning on their home floor.

The Matadors improved to 7-8 overall last Saturday when CSUN defeated UC Santa Barbara 73-65 in the Big West opener for both clubs. Four CSUN women's basketball players scored in double figures. Channon Fluker ended the day with her 66th career double-double as she scored a team high 17 points and hauled in 14 rebounds. Fluker was 8-of-16 from the field. She would block five shots, dish out four assists and have one steal.

Destiny Brooks tallied nine of her 14 points in the first half. Brooks would go 4-of-8 from three-point range. Serafina Maulupe would draw to within four of 1,000 career points as she recorded 11. Meghann Henderson registered 10 points, five rebounds, a game high five assist, and three steals.
