HOW IT HAPPENED
"We played a good six innings. Again, we are getting people on, we just need someone to come up clutch. This weekend was a good experience for us and gives us an idea of where we need to get better. I am excited to see what adjustments we have made for next weekend."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Matadors left runners on first and second in the top of the first. The Sun Devils threatened in the bottom of the inning, loading the bases with no outs. CSUN starter Jillian James pitched out of the jam with a pair of strikeouts and a foul out to the Matadors' catcher Gator Rascon.

- The Sun Devils began the bottom of the fourth with back-to-back singles. McCarty would drive in the first run of the inning with a sacrifice bunt. Morgan Howe followed with an RBI single and a 3-0 ASU lead.
- With one out in the top of the fifth, pinch-hitter Aaliyah Swan worked out a walk. Haileigh Gonzalez reached on a fielder's choice attempting to but Swan over a base. Megan Stevens walked to load the bases.
- Mackenzie Babbitt doubled down the right field line to plate Swan and Gonzalez. Jessica Alexander grounded to third for the second out before Kiarra Crockett-Pope fouled out to left to end the inning.

Jade Gortarez drove in a run as a second run came across on the play due to the second Matador error of the inning.
