Pak Fires One-Under 71 to Win CSU Bakersfield Dual Match

MOORPARK, Calif. - Tiffany Pak fired a one-under 71 to claim individual medalist honors as the CSUN Women's Golf team defeated CSU Bakersfield, 301-314 in a dual match Monday at Rustic Canyon Golf Course.
Pak, one of two Matadors competing as individuals, carded an eagle two at the par-4 third hole and went on finish the front nine at even-par. She then finished at one-under 35 on the back nine to finish the day with a score of one-under 71. Pak led all players in the field with 14 pars to go with one birdie and the one eagle.
With Julia Myklebust (73), Julia Johansson (74), Kiran Sangha (77), Fernanda Sosa (77), and Hanne Sofie Borgen (81) in the lineup, the Matadors posted a team score of 301 which was 13 shots better than the Roadrunners' 314.

CSUN will return to tournament play on Oct. 11-12 when the Matadors travel to Seattle for the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational.

CSUNÂ SCORES
- Myklebust had 11 pars and tied for the second-most birdies with three to finish second to Pak at one-over 73.
- In her first competition of the season, Johansson finished at two-over 74 with nine pars along with four birdies which led all players in the dual match.
- Sangha and Sosa each finished at five-over 77 as Sangha posted eight pars and three birdies. Sosa had 10 pars and a pair of birdies on the day.
- Borgen had nine pars on her way to a round of (+9) 81 while Elle Laur had 11 pars in her CSUN debut, finishing with a round of (+12) 84.
