ACCORDING TO HEAD COACH CARLENE MITCHELL
"We had a hard time with San Francisco's physicality. We were having trouble getting off the screens we were attempting to set. Our guards were having a hard time getting downhill. USF did a good job of preventing Michelle (Duchemin, CSUN's leading scorer) from getting open looks for her mid-range jumper, which she is known for. We will return and look to get better as we prepare for San Diego."
NOTES
San Francisco improved to 6-2, defeating their second Big West opponent in a row (Long Beach State being the other)…USF now leads the all-time series against CSUN 5-2 after playing in Northridge for only the second time in the series…Jackson has scored 821 career points and has a chance to become the 14th CSUN player to score 1,000 career points.
UP NEXT
CSUN (0-6) opens a two-game road trip at the University of San Diego (4-3) on Tuesday night. Coverage on the West Coast Network begins at 6 p.m.
