The Hornets improved to 7-2 on Dec. 10 with a 67-46 victory against CSU Bakersfield.

Kahlaijah Dean leads the Hornets in scoring 18.0 points per game. She has scored over 25 points three times this season and has scored in double figures in all but one game this season.

Isnelle Natabou is averaging a double-double of 17 points and 11.3 rebounds per game for Sacramento State. She also has 15 blocks this season.

The series between the Matadors and the Hornets dates to the Division II days for both teams. Monday marks the 37th time CSUN and Sacramento State are playing women's basketball, the first since 2014, with the Matadors leading the all-time series 19-17.

The Lions bring a 2-8 record into their WCC opener on Saturday at San Francisco. Loyola Marymount travels to Santa Clara on Monday before returning home to host the Matadors.

Ariel Johnson paces the team in scoring at 14.1 points per game. She also leads the team in steals with 18. Alexis Mark is averaging 10.4 points per game and leads the team in rebounding at 5.7 per game.

Wednesday is the 20th all-time meeting between CSUN and LMU. The Matadors have won two in a row in the series, including a 62-57 overtime decision last season in Northridge.
AMUNDSEN NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tess Amundsen was selected Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Dec. 12.
Amundsen averaged 22.5 points per game in a 1-1 week for CSUN. Amundsen scored 17 at the University of San Diego on Dec. 6. Amundsen posted a season-high 28 points at Seattle University on Dec. 10. She was 9-of-15 from the floor and 6-of-10 from three-point range against the Redhawks.
Amundsen shot 16-of-26 from the field (61.5%) and 9-of-15 (60%) from beyond the three-point arc for the week. The 6-0 graduate student added five rebounds, one steal, and one block for the Matadors. This is the second time Amundsen has been selected Big West Player of the Week in her career.
SHOOTOUT IN SEATTLE
CSUN defeated Seattle U 97-90 on Dec. 10 in a shootout in Seattle. The 97 points are the second most in school Division I history and is only the 30th time that the Matadors have scored at least 90 in a game since the program began in 1976.

The CSUN Division I record for most points in a game is 99, set on Nov. 11, 2016, against Portland State.

The Matadors shot a season-high 54.4% (31-of-58) which is the 11th-best performance by CSUN in a Division I game. CSUN made 11 three-point field goals against the Redhawks, the 10th most in a Division I game by a Matadors' squad.

CSUN went 24-for-26 from the free throw line against Seattle U. The 24 made free throws are the 14th most in a Division I game, while the .923 free throw percentage is the 11th highest in a Matadors' Division I game.
