CSUN Drops 4-0 Decision to Cal Poly

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—Cal Poly defeated CSUN 4-0 in Big West Conference Women's Tennis action Saturday afternoon at the Matador Tennis Complex.
Ekaterina Repina and Sasha Turchak defeated Delanie Dunkle and Melissa LaMette 6-2 at No. 2 doubles to begin the day. Then, Laura Bente and Peyton Dunkle defeated Victoria Santibañez Luna and Jenna Dorian 6-3 to tie the doubles score. Finally, Emily Ackerman and Kim Bhunu clinched the doubles point when they handed Jolene Coetzee and Ana Isabel Fraile Toboso a 6-4 defeat in the No. 1 match.
The Mustangs (10-4, 3-0 Big West) won three singles matches to earn the overall victory. Bente defeated Fraile Toboso 6-0, 7-5 at No. 2. LaMette won at No. 3 in straight sets (6-1, 6-2) against Coetzee. Finally, Delanie Dunkle defeated Santibañez Luna 6-2, 6-3 at No. 5.
In the unfinished matches, Repina was up 6-3, 3-4 at No. 1 against Bhunu. Ackerman led Turchak 7-6 (9-7), 2-0, in the No. 4 slot, while Peyton Durnkle led Dorian 6-2, 1-4 at No. 6.
