CSUN Hosts Hawai'i in Regular Season Finale

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—CSUN closes the Women's Tennis regular season Sunday when the Matadors (8-7, 4-4 Big West) host the University of Hawai'i. The action begins at 11 a.m.
This will serve as the final home match for seniors Jenna Dorian, Ana Isabel Fraile Toboso, Ekaterina Repina, Jacquie Tan. Jolene Coetzee will be graduating this Spring, but is scheduled to return in 2023, taking advantage of the 2020 COVID-19 eligibility wavier.

THE OPPONENT
- Hawai'i is 10-7, 6-2 in Big West play. Gitte Heynemans and Tal Talya Zandberg are 11-6 in singles to pace the Rainbow Wahine. At 6-4, Nidhi Surapaneni and Heynemans have the most doubles wins as a team for UH.
- Surapaneni has the most doubles on the team with eight (8-9). Sunday will be the 35th time CSUN and Hawai'i are playing women's tennis, with the Rainbow Wahine leading the all-time series 25-9.
THE LAST TIME OUT
- CSUN broke a 25-dual losing streak to Long Beach State when CSUN defeated The Beach 4-3 Apr. 16. The streak dated back to Mar. 23, 2000, as the Matadors came back from 3-1 down during the day.
- Dorian won in doubles with Victoria Santibañez Luna and clinched the dual with a 6-1, 1-6, 6-4 victory at No. 5 singles in the day's final match.
CSUN LEADERS
- Sasha Turchak has posted the most singles victories for CSUN this season with eight (8-3). Dorian has the highest winning percentage at .833 (5-1).
- The doubles team of Coetzee and Fraile Toboso are the team leader in victories with seven (7-5). Turchak has the most Matador doubles wins (8) with two different partners.
