Ndjip-Nyemeck Advances in 100m Hurdles at NCAA West Preliminary

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.—CSUN's Yanla Ndjip-Nyemeck advanced to the quarterfinals of the 100m hurdles at the NCAA West Preliminary Thursday night.
Ndjip-Nyemeck ran :13.42 to place fourth in the third of six heats. She tied with Gabrielle Gibson of Oral Roberts, but when the times were taking out further, her 13.412 was better than Gibson's 13.416, giving her the 21st spot overall. The top 24 advanced to the quarterfinals.
"Yanla ran a great race tonight," said CSUN head coach Justin Johnson. "We will rest up and fine-tune some things in preparation for Saturday's race."
The 100m hurdles quarterfinals will begin at 4:15 p.m. PDT on Saturday with coverage on SEC Network+ or the ESPN app.
