FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Freshman Gracie Piar fired rounds of 73-76 to lead the CSUN women's golf team to a 10th-place finish through 36 holes of the Colonel Wallenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic Monday at Ptarmigan Country Club.
Piar, who narrowly missed her first collegiate top-25 finish at the season opening Hobble Creek Invitational, had a pair of birdies and 28 pars over two rounds on Monday and is tied for 33rd at 5-over 149. Piar is tied with Nevada's Anitra Khoth for the most pars in the 62-player field.
As a team, the Matadors posted rounds of 302-307 for a 36-hole score of 609, their lowest in two tournaments this fall. Nevada is the team leader through two rounds at 18-under 558 while the Wolfpack's Victoria Gailey leads the individual competition at 11-under 133.
CSUNÂ SCORES
The Matadors will be paired with Bowling Green for the final round which gets underway Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m.

CSUNÂ SCORES
- Following Piar, Fernanda Sosa Stackpole is tied for 46th at 9-over 153. Sosa Stackpole had four birdies in the opening round as she carded a 3-over 75. She added two more birdies in round two before posting a 6-over 78.Â
- Julia Myklebust is a shot behind Sosa Stackpole at 10-over 154 following consecutive rounds of 77. Myklebust had a birdie in each round as she is currently tied for 50th.Â
- Kim Turgut is tied for 55th at 12-over 156 after posting rounds of 77-79. Turgut had four birdies in round one before adding two more in round two.
- Elle Laur opened with a 9-over 81 before rebounding with a pair of birdies in a 4-over 76 in round two. Laur is in 58th place at 13-over 157.
- Grace Bettis rounded out the CSUN scoring as she is tied for 60th at 15-over 159 following rounds of 74-85. Â
