Matadors Drop a Pair at Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic
2/24/2023 10:56:00 PM | Softball
CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif.—CSUN dropped a pair of games on day two of the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic Friday night at Big League Dreams Park.
ACCORDING TO HEAD COACH CHARLOTTE MORGAN
"Both of today's games were tough. Both Oregon State and Ohio State came out and attacked our mistakes. We have to be sharper in every aspect of the game. The great thing about our sport is we are playing another game tomorrow. We have to process, learn and be able to lock right back in tomorrow. Our players are learning what it takes to compete at this level and the sacrifices it takes. We will continue to get better and grow as a program."
GAME 1
Oregon State defeated CSUN 5-1 in the opener.
Abby Doerr put the Beavers on top with a two-out solo home run in the bottom of the third.
