CSUN Cross Country Completes Action at UCR Invitational

RIVERSIDE, Calif.---The CSUN men's and women's cross country teams competed at the UC Riverside Invitational on Saturday morning.

WOMEN
Nicole Contreras was the team's top runner, collecting 33rd-place points (41st overall) after running a career-best 6k time of 21:31.6. Contreras' time was the fifth fastest in school history. As a team, CSUN was 15th in the competition.
CSUN WOMEN PERFORMANCES
MEN
Atticus Hall turned in the team's top performance, earning 76th-place points (86th overall) with a career-best 8k time of 24:58.0. His time was the 10th fastest in school history. The CSUN team finished 21st overall in the event.

- Sonia Avila came in second on the team with 79th-place points (92nd overall), running a time of 22:17.6.
- Elin Markarian scored 82nd-place points (96th overall) with a time of 22:20.1.
- Leann Hamilton charted 87th-place points (103rd overall) after running a time of 22:26.7.
- Vanessa Avila scored 114th-place points (143rd overall) with a time of 23:23.5.
- Mariah Changco scored 116th-place points (148th overall) by running a time of 23:34.8.
- Also running for CSUN were Rachael Simpson (23:37.3, 117th), Faith Mora (23:54.7) and Ouanessa Nana (25:57.2).
MEN

- Daniel Rodriguez charted 121st (144th overall) after running a time of 25:38.1.
- Yaseen Sardar scored 125th (150th overall) with a time of 25:41.4.
- Noah Contreras scored 127th (152nd overall) by running a time of 25:42.4
- Also running for CSUN were Balmore Montes (25:47.8, 132nd), Cesar Cuevas (26:03.1), Ethan Smith (27:14.7) and Ja'Patrick Smith (27:20.1).
