CSUN opens its 22nd season of Big West play this week with a pair of home matches. CSUN holds a 13-5-3 record in Big West Conference opening matches.

The Matadors host Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday at 7 p.m. before welcoming Cal State Bakersfield to Northridge on Saturday at 7 p.m.

ABOUT CAL STATE FULLERTON
The Titans posted the top overall mark among Big West clubs in the non-conference season with a 6-2-2 mark. Cal State Fullerton has won four in a row after two victories (1-0 vs. LMU/2-0 vs. San Diego) last week and are unbeaten in their previous seven (5-0-2) matches.

Roberto Ordonez (offensive) and Tetsuya Kadono (defensive) were named Big West Players of the Week on Sept. 25. Ordonez scored a goal and had two assists last week. Kadono recorded six saves in the shutouts last week.

CSUN and Cal State Fullerton are playing for the 52nd time, with the Matadors leading the all-time series 26-18-7. CSUN has won three in a row in the series, including a 1-0 decision last season in Fullerton.

ABOUT CAL STATE BAKERSFIELD
The Roadrunners, who were picked last in the preseason Big West poll, are a surprising 4-1-3 under interim head coach Adam Grant. CSUB is unbeaten in the previous six matches (4-0-2) and is 4-1-3 on the season. The 'Runners travel to Sacramento State on Wednesday afternoon before heading to CSUN.

Bital Mihoubi leads the team in goals (3) and points (7).

Brandon Limes has played all 720 minutes in goal for the 'Runners, allowing just five goals on his way to three shutouts. His 0.625 goals-against average is the 15th-best in Division I this season.

Saturday is the 29th time CSUN and CSUB have played men's soccer, with the Matadors leading the all-time series 25-1-2.
