CSUN Returns to Competition at Trojan Invitational

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.---CSUN Track & Field returns to competition this weekend at USC's Ron & Sharlene Allice Trojan Invitational set for Friday and Saturday. Four field events will kick off the meet on Friday while the rest of the slate will be held on Saturday. Coverage of the events on day two will be broadcast on Big Ten Plus.

CSUN has entered in 25 total events this weekend with 12 on the men's side and 13 on the women's side.
On the men's team, the following have entered in events for the invitational: Thomas Achten, Christopher Allen, Caden Bazo, Santiago Cerda, Tylor Connelly, Luke DaVanon, Logan Davis, Jonrich Dela Cruz, Tui Edwin, Alec Flores, Caleb Harrell, Elijah Ignacio, Ehinome Inegbenoise, Francisco Isiordia, Darrick Jacob, Jr., Trey Knight, Guillermo Lopez, Jay Louison-Roe, Chase Mars, Ramiro Mateos, Tibyasa Matovu, Joey Nations, Walter Pierce, Diego Rodriguez, Jayden Smith, Elijah Stenberg, Camilo Torres and Shamil Youngblood.
CSUN's will send the following on the women's side: Amani Britton, Treasure Brown, Savannah Ganter, Zola Grey, Leann Hamilton, Camryn Harris, Jocelyn Hoggard, Emily Hutchinson, Zoey Igbinigie, Ami Jacobson, Brianna Kelpis, Jaelyn Lee, Myli Level, Elin Markarian, Marina McNeil-Vivanco, Ali Medina, Alba Moreno Paredes, Summer Mosley, Ada Murray, Anna Negulic, Ashleigh Porter, Naomi Sachs and Chandler Smith.
LAST TIME OUT
CSUN Track & Field opened the 2025 outdoor season at the Beach Opener, hosted by Long Beach State from March 7-8.
Sophomore Logan Davis made his return to the track in style, winning the 200m with a PR time of 21.03. Davis, who missed the 2024 outdoor campaign, also took second place in the 100m with a wind-aided time of 10.42. Elijah Stenberg was strong for CSUN in the 800m, finishing in fourth place with a time of 3:54.94. In throws, Elijah Ignacio took fifth place in the discus with a toss of 53.89 (176-9), good enough for 10th-best in school history.
Jasmine Haskell led the women's side in the 800m, finishing third overall at 2:18.30. Last season's Big West shot put champion, Emily Hutchinson was fourth in the event with a toss of 13.62m (44-8.25) while Amani Britton was fifth in the discus with a PR of 46.72m (153-3).
UP NEXT
The Matadors will next compete at UC Irvine's Vince O'Boyle Track & Field Classic from March 28-29. It will be the first of two trips to UC Irvine this outdoor season as the team is set to return at the Steve Scott Invitational from May 2-3.
