GAME NOTES
ACCORDING TO HEAD COACH GARY VICTOR
"Credit to Cal Poly, they are an excellent team. We just ran out of gas a little bit with three matches in three days. Also it was tough with the Big West giving two byes to the top two seeds. So proud of our freshmen, Sandy and Satsuki had incredible seasons and brought us to this great season we had. Our seniors are kind, disciplined, focused, warm, determined and so many more things. Angela, Emma, Nicole, Sofia and Vito made all of us better. I am happy for Tallia for how she finished the season. She always puts in the work and has overcome several injuries.
Â
So many people to thank for their tireless work and dedication this season. Coach Alfredo and his sports performance team; Eddie Figueroa the nutritionist, Patrick Landeros and the sports med team, Jacob Jensen, Amy Rosenblatt and Mark Otten from sports psych and mental health, Zack Rome from sports info, Erick from academic advising ;Â Haley and Josh from compliance; Sonia Hahn and Ryan Swartwood ; and our coaches and staff - James, Dave and Vika. Â So blessed to have so many fantastic and passionate people that care about our student athletes, they help make us the family we always strive for."
Â
POST-MATCH COMMENTS FROM NICOLE WEST
"Couldn't be more proud of my team. A lot of emotions today but more than anything I'm so grateful. The care this team has for one another is palpable from players to the staff is truly special. I have shared some of my greatest moments during my time at CSUN at this tournament and my time here is something I would never trade."
Â
