CSUN Sweeps Weber State, 4-0 On Way to Third Straight Win.

FRESNO, Calif. --- The CSUN Matadors (7-5) won the doubles point and captured three singles matches to defeat the Weber State Wildcats for a sweep, 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center. Satsuki Ishikawa, Emma Moratalla Sanz, and Tallia Harper each won their singles matches en route to the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
CSUN secured the early advantage by sweeping the completed doubles matches. The tandem of Angela Ho and Nicole West opened with a 6-1 victory over Jessica Hill and Aleks Bozinovska on court No. 1. Moratalla Sanz and Sandra Arguelles followed with a 6-3 win against Savannah Johnson and Naomi Johnson on Court No. 2 to clinch the doubles point. The third doubles match featuring Madison Shepperson and Ishikawa was unfinished.

The Matadors quickly built their lead in singles play. Ishikawa delivered the first singles point, defeating Bozinovska 6-1, 6-4 on court No. 5. Moratalla Sanz then extended the CSUN advantage to 3-0 with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Maggie Song at No. 2 singles.

Tallia Harper clinched the match for the Matadors at the No. 3 position. After dropping the opening set, Harper rallied to defeat Paula Aleksandrowicz 3-6, 6-0, 6-3 to secure the fourth point.

"Today felt especially good." Harper said about the match. "The past few matches have been difficult for me so I'm really happy that I stuck with it and could come out with the win today. I'm so proud of the team and everyone's fight this weekend!"
