BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — CSUN Beach Volleyball closed out its regular season on a high note Saturday, picking up wins over Cal State Bakersfield (3-2) and Pacific (5-0) in a tri-dual at the Barnes Beach Volleyball Complex.
With the two wins, the Matadors improve to 10-20 and have now won three of their last five dual matches heading into the Big West Beach Volleyball Championship next week.
CSUN 3, BAKERSFIELD 2
CSUN opened the day by edging Cal State Bakersfield 3-2 in a tightly contested dual. The Matadors secured their second win over the Roadrunners this season behind wins on the No. 1, No. 3, and No. 4 courts, winning each in straight sets to outlast Bakersfield (10-23).

After Bakersfield answered on court two, the Matadors regained control when Dylan Hall and Ava Rogers secured a 21-18, 21-14 decision at No. 3, putting CSUN on the brink.
The dual ultimately came down to the fifth flight, where Bakersfield's Katey Milne and Havi Montano outlasted Daysha Halbert and Haley Coggins in a three-set battle, 21-19, 25-23, but the outcome had already been decided in CSUN's favor.

CSUN capped its Saturday slate in dominant fashion, sweeping Pacific 5-0 in the first dual match between the two teams since 2021.
The Matadors (10-20) controlled the match from the outset, claiming four straight-set victories and winning all five courts to post their fifth 5-0 victory of the season.
No. 1 pair Heflin and Miles led the charge with a commanding 21-12, 21-11 win, while the No. 2 duo of Mendiola and Henderson followed with a 21-15, 21-12 victory to quickly put CSUN in control.
