CSUN - 2019 (Sophomore)
Seyvion Waggoner appeared in all 28 matches, playing in 101 of 108 sets in her first season at CSUN ... led the Matadors with 335 kills while averaging 3.32 kills per set which ranked sixth in the Big West ... hit .229 on a team-high 877 attacks ... also added 60 digs (0.59 dps) and 36 total blocks (0.36 bps) ... had double figures in 19 matches to lead all Matador hitters ... pounded a season-high 21 kills in her Matador debut against Portland State (Aug. 30) ... posted 20 kills on a season-high 51 attacks against Santa Clara (Sept. 5) ... hit a season-high .611 (12-1-18) in CSUN's 3-0 win over UC Davis (Nov. 1) ... recorded a season-high five blocks at UC Santa Barbara (Sept. 24) ... earned All-Tournament honors at Weber State's Wildcat Invitational, the Fresno State Invitational and was named MVP of the Grand Canyon Classic.
RICE UNIVERSITY
Waggoner played one season of indoor volleyball at Rice University in Houston, Texas ... as a true freshman in 2017, played in 84 sets, totaling 208 kills (2.48 kills per set) ... finished fourth on the Owls with 234.5 points and was fifth on the team with 11 service aces ... posted 10 or more kills in 11 matches, including a season-high 14 kills on four separate occasions…selected to the Rice Invitational I All-Tournament Team…named to the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
BOUNTIFUL HIGH SCHOOL
Waggoner lettered in indoor volleyball, basketball and track at Bountiful High School in Bountiful, Utah ... was named an AVCA Phenom Athlete with one of the highest VPI scores in the nation ... also earned All-State Team honors in addition to AVCA and Max Preps Player of the Week ... earned first-team Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune honors in both 2016 and 2017 ...was part of two state championship teams ... also played for the USA High Performance A1 Team ... graduated in 2017 and was an honor roll student every year during junior high and high school.
