2014
Blanchet joined the Matadors as a freshman infielder in 2014 and appeared in 22 games. Blanchet was used most often as a pinch hitter but did make six starts between first base and designated hitter. He hit for a .206 average and had seven hits and two RBIs in his freshman season.
IRVINE HIGH SCHOOL
Blanchet competed for the Vaqueros for four seasons as an infielder and outfielder. As a freshman, he was named Team MVP and he was chosen as an All-Pacific Coast League Second Team honoree as a senior. In his senior season, the shortstop played in 28 games and had 30 hits, 19 RBIs, 26 runs, three home runs, a .485 on-base percentage, and a .320 batting average. Blanchet graduated from Irvine HS in 2013 with a 3.5 GPA.
