2014
Copping appeared in 13 games and made four starts for the Matadors in his sophomore season. He went 1-4 with a 4.00 ERA and earned a win in CSUN's victory over Seattle (2/22). His best outing came in a no-decision at Bakersfield (3/4) when he struck out six Roadrunners in 5.0 innings of work. In 27.0 innings, Copping struck out 23 batters and walked 10.
2013
Copping was the Saturday starter in his first season with the Matadors. He appeared in 15 games and made 14 starts on the mound, going 5-5 with a 3.90 ERA. In 83.0 innings of work, Copping recorded 51 strikeouts, allowed 21 walks and kept opponents to a .274 batting average. He set a career high with an 8.0 inning performance in a win over Pacific on April 27th and picked up six strikeouts on two different occasions.
TEMPLE CITY HIGH SCHOOL
Copping was a four-year starting pitcher for the Rams of the Rio Hondo League. During his junior and senior seasons, Copping's side won the league title and he was named to the All-League Team. Copping also earned Pitcher of the Year honors in 2011 and 2012 and compiled a 1.07 ERA as a senior.
