2015
Nick Murphy played in 32 games, making 18 starts in his senior season...Split time at catcher and at the designated hitter position...Hit .244 with nine RBI, 19 hits and nine runs scored...Had two multi-hit games during the season...Registered a .991 fielding percentage throughout his Matador career...earned Big West Conference All-Academic Team honors.
2014
Murphy joined the Matadors as a junior transfer in 2014 and finished fourth on the team with a .270 batting average. Murphy appeared in 42 games and split time as the catcher and designated hitter. Behind the plate, Murphy picked off one runner and threw out seven trying to steal. He had 10 multi-hit games at the plate and drove in a season-high two runs at Bakersfield (4/29). Murphy hit his first CSUN home run in a game against Pepperdine (4/15). On the season he hit four doubles, one home run and had 11 RBIs.
PIERCE COLLEGE
Murphy competed for two seasons as a right fielder at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, Calif. He was named to the All-North League Second Team in 2013 and earned his AA degree the same year with a 3.45 GPA.
ROYAL HIGH SCHOOL
Murphy competed for four seasons as a catcher and right fielder at Royal High School in Simi Valley, Calif. As a senior in 2011 he was named the Team MVP, earned the Highlander Award, and was named to the All-State Team. Murphy's side won the 2010 Marmonte League championship. He graduated from Royal HS in 2011 with a 3.8 GPA.
