2021 Season (Redshirt Senior)
Ruiz returned as a sixth-year senior and his fourth overall at CSUN in 2021 ... Appeared in 37 games, making 35 starts ... Started 18 times in left field and 11 times at catcher while he made six starts at DH ... Had a career season at the plate, posting personal bests in batting average (.321), runs (31), hits (43), doubles (15), RBI (24), slugging percentage (.455) and on-base percentage (424) ... Also posted a .976 fielding percentage ... Was the doubles leader on the team and finished 10th in the category in the Big West ... Second on the team in runs and third in hits ... Ranked second on the team in multiple-hit games (12) and multiple-RBI games (7) ... Went 3-for-3 with an RBI in a win over UC Irvine (4/2/21) ...
