Sanchez was named Big West Co-Freshman of the Year along with an All-Big West First Team and All-Freshman Team selection ... appeared in 44 games with 42 starts ... ranked second on the team in batting (.333), homers (3), slugging percentage (.475) and RBI (21) while she was third in hits (40) and walks (10) ... scored eight runs while posting two doubles and two triples on the year ... earned a pair of Big West Freshman of the Week awards ... batted .321 with three homers and 15 RBI in 27 Big West games ... posted 10 multi-hit games on the season while she had a 12-game on-base streak and an eight-game hit streak on the year ... drove in three runs including a game-tying two-run single in the seventh and a walk-off hit in the eighth to beat Dayton (2/22/24) ... belted her first career homer and drove in two runs vs. Cal Poly (3/16/24) ... picked up another homer at Hawai'i (3/22/24) ... hammered a three-run homer in a win at Cal State Bakersfield (4/27/24) ... racked up three hits vs. No. 6 UCLA (4/30/24) ... named an NFCA Scholar-Athlete.

A 2023 graduate of Gahr High School … Began varsity career as a freshman…selected Long Beach Press-Telegram Player of the Week on Apr. 6, 2021 ... hit .438 during the 2022 CIF Southern Section Division 1 Tournament as the team reached the semifinals … a first-team selection to the 2022 Long Beach Press-Telegram Dream Team … named first-team All-League and first-team All-Area as a junior … a member of the Gahr Principal’s Honor Roll … a three-time Gahr High School Scholar-Athlete selection … has earned the California Seal of Biliteracy (Spanish) … graduated with highest honors … CLUB EXPERIENCE: Played for the Explosion Sanchez club program.

Daughter of Rey and Stacy Sanchez … favorites include the Anaheim Angels, Shohei Ohtani, Kevin Hart, Melissa McCarthy, Outer Banks, 10 Things I Hate About You, Chicken Nuggets, SZA, and the lululemon website … chose CSUN because it was far enough from home, but still close enough to drive home if she wanted to., she loved the atmosphere, the coaches and players were welcoming, it felt like a place where she would fit in easily and would get along well with the team and coaching staff … says greatest sports moment was helping the team to defeat Orange Lutheran and advance to the CIF D1 Semifinals game … says the best thing about being an athlete is being able to meet a lot of different personalities and being able to build life-long friendships that allow experiencing highlights and adversity together … says the toughest thing about being an athlete is keeping her mind right in times where you don’t experience the success you want and the success that everyone desires … says the best player she has played against is Regan Walsh … the most famous person she has met is Lisa Fernandez … the person in history she would like to meet is the inventor of the chicken nugget, Robert C. Baker … would like to switch places for one day with Beyoncé … says her greatest hero is her mom who inspires her to be a better person and always try her best and give her best attitude and effort, she demonstrates hard work on a daily basis and is someone who she looks up to.
