PERSONAL
Daughter of Martin and Theresa Ioane … favorites include LK Black Hawai’i, Jocelyn Alo, Jason Mamoa, Gal Gadot, Grey's Anatomy, Manifest, Kingsman, Rice & Kalua Pig, Maoli, Morgan Wallen, and Google.com … chose CSUN because it felt like home, the environment not only on campus, but the surrounding area felt like a safe place where she will be able to further her athletic and academic career … says her greatest sports moment so far was winning the 2022 Triple Crown Softball International Challenge for Team Polynesia, not only did her U-18 team win, but Team Polynesia’ U-16 team won the tournament as well, but putting Hawai’i back on the radar again was such a humbling experience to inspire the next generation of athletes coming from Hawai’i to reclaim the title … says the best thing about being an athlete is getting the chance to impact or inspire younger athletes blindly and being a role model, you never know who may be watching or trying to be you, and it is a constant reminder to push yourself to be better both mentally and physically … says the most challenging thing about being an athlete is that you are your greatest enemy, the mental blocks that come with being an athlete is a testament of mental toughness that in order to get through or to be better you must fall you must fail to be better and that is the hardest thing to learn … says the toughest athlete she has played against is Taryn Irimata … the most famous people she has met is Kamekona Tupuola and Jocelyn Alo … the person in history she would like to meet is Queen Elizabeth II and see her palace … would like to switch places with Jocelyn Alo for one day and create her own bat … the best advice she has been given is that you are your greatest enemy … her greatest hero is her mom because she is the definition of selfless she gave up everything to make her into the woman she is today.
