2008 (SENIOR): Started in 10 of the 18 games he played in…eight of his 16 shots were on goal…finished with a total of six points…scored the first goal of the season for the Matadors against Alabama A&M (Aug. 31)…found the back of the net at UC Santa Barbara (Oct. 8)…scored the equalizing goal for CSUN at Cal State Fullerton (Nov. 5).
2007 (JUNIOR): Appeared in 19 games, making five starts…started the final three matches of the season…scored one goal on the season, contributing to the Matadors' 3-0 victory over UCLA on Sept. 29, the first ever Northridge win over the Bruins…assisted on a score in the Matadors 3-2 loss to UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 13.
2006 (SOPHOMORE): Made seven starts, including six straight from Oct. 1 to 21, playing in 15 matches…scored his first three collegiate points in a victory at UC Irvine on Oct. 11, producing a goal and an assist…had seven shots, including three on goal.
2005 (FRESHMAN): Played in five games during his redshirt freshman season…picked up two shots, which were both on goal, against Dartmouth (Sept. 5) and California (Sept. 11).
2004 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the CSUN program.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2004 graduate of El Camino Real High School…played four years of soccer…coach was David Hussey…scored 12 goals and added 18 assists as a senior captain and was named first team All-City, first team All-League and West Valley League Most Valuable Player…also earned All-League as a junior…helped ECR to city championships in his freshman and sophomore seasons…graduated with a 3.0 GPA.
PERSONAL: Son of Larry and Michelle Cox…a marketing major…is the oldest of four children…has a younger sister, Haley and two younger brothers, Nick and Joey…says his greatest moment in sports was playing in Spain with his Eagles Soccer Club team…once met former NBA player Dennis Rodman and coach Phil Jackson…states he can't imagine going a week without playing his guitar…favorites include the movie "Snatch" and singer Jack Johnson.
