2019 (R-FRESHMAN): Played in four matches (a total of 28 minutes) playing as a defensive midfielder for the Matadors.
2018 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt at CSUN.
HIGH SCHOOL:A 2018 graduate of Taft Charter High School...graduated high school with a 3.6 grade point average…played for the Real So Cal Club program from 2008-18…coaches for Real So Cal included current CSUN associate head coach Zach Feldman.
PERSONAL: Son of Francisco and Teresa Ruiz…an athletic training major…favorites include FC Barcelona, Paul Pogba, Rick & Morty, Black Panther, Chicken Alfredo, and Lil Skies…chose CSUN because it felt like he was home…the best advice he has been given is “to never give up on your dreams and strive for them”…his advice to young people is “to always believe in yourself and go with your gut.”…his hero is his father who according to him “sacrificed so much for his family.”
