2022 (JUNIOR): Played in four matches for a total of 55 minutes...took one shot.
PRIOR TO CSUN: A member of the men’s soccer team at Oxnard College from 2019-21…started all 20 matches during the 2021 season for Oxnard, scoring eight goals and one assist...was named first team All-Conference…team advanced to second round Southern California Regional playoffs and went 14-3-5 after winning second consecutive conference title...appeared in 15 matches during the 2019 season, starting on two occasions…scored two goals…CLUB EXPERIENCE: Played for the Ventura County Fusion.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2018 graduate of Hueneme High School…lettered in soccer…team won Pacific View League championship.
PERSONAL: Son of Domingo Ayala and Luz Torres…a liberal studies major…favorites include Olimpia, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Jorge Ramos y su Banda, Goal, Sopa de mariscos en coco, Kazzabe, and Anuel AA...chose CSUN because of a great program and really enjoyed taking to the coaches throughout the recruiting process…says greatest sports moment so far is serving as team captain at Oxnard College and winning the 2021 league title…says the best thing about being an athlete is playing the sport he loves and playing at high level while getting a degree…says the toughest thing about being an athlete is having to perform on the field and in the classroom when things aren’t going the way the way you want…the most famous person he has met is Zlatan Ibrahimovic…would like to switch places with Cristiano Ronaldo for one day…the two people he would like to have dinner with are his late father and Zlatan Ibrahimovic…the best advice he has been given is to work hard, believe in myself, and to be disciplined…his advice to young people is To believe in yourself, there are two types of pain, the pain of putting in the work, and the pain of regretting it…says his greatest hero is his mom who after both his father and grandfather passed away within six months of each other, she had to be a mother and a father for his sisters and himself and educated them very well.
