2008 Second Team All-Big West Conference
2009 (R-SENIOR): Competed in 19 of 20 games…took the fifth-most total number of shots with 22…six of his shots were on-goal…finished with seven total points on three goals and one assist…scored his first goal of the season, and his second career goal against FDU (Sept. 11) earned an assist at Cal State Fullerton (Oct. 7)…recorded his first game-winning goal against No. 3 UC Santa Barbara…scored the first of four goals against UC Riverside (Oct. 31).
2008 (R-JUNIOR): Named second team All-Conference…played in all 19 games, and started all but one match… earned five assists, the second-highest total on the team…took seven total shots, two on goal…finished the season with five points…took the Matadors' lone penalty shot of the season…assisted on CSUN's first goal of the season against Alabama A&M (Aug. 31)…earned his second assist in as many games against CSU Bakersfield (Sept. 5) assisted on the equalizing goal at UC Santa Barbara (Oct. 8)…earned an assist in back-to-back games against Cal State Fullerton (Oct. 18) and at UC Davis (Oct. 22).
2007 (R-SOPHOMORE): Played in 19 matches making 17 starts…had two assists on the year…assisted on a score in the Matadors 3-0 win over UCLA (Sept. 29) also assisted in a 1-1 draw at Cal St. Fullerton…was named Big West Player of the Week and to the Soccer America Team of the Week for the week ending (Oct. 1) started the first 14 matches of the season…took four shots on the year…played the entire match on 10 occasions.
2006 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the CSUN program.
2005 (FRESHMAN): Made one start and played in 14 matches…scored his first collegiate goal in the final game of the regular season at UC Davis (Nov. 11) posted four shots, including one on goal.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Chatsworth High School…a three-sport star at Chatsworth High School…earned two letters in soccer, four in volleyball and one in football…earned Los Angeles Times All-Area, All-City and team Most Valuable Player honors in volleyball following 2004 and 2005 seasons…graduated with a 3.0 GPA.
PERSONAL: A business marketing major…his best friends are his family, starting with his parents, Margaret and Norman Pate…sister Leila was a four-year letter winner on the women's soccer team…also has a brother, William…played for the club soccer team Samba…lists his favorite television show as "Shinehan" and his favorite movie as "Children of Men"…says the one luxury item he would bring on "Survivor" is his frisbee.
