2011 (R-SOPHOMORE): Played in five matches…took five shots, two on goal…scored one goal and had two assists for a total of four points.
2010 (R-FRESHMAN): Competed in all but one match…tied for second on the team in goals (2) and points (6)…finished second on the team in assists (2), shots (47) and shots on goal (16)…netted both of his goals and picked up an assist for a five point effort in the Matadors' 3-0 victory at Cal State Fullerton on Oct. 2…finished tied for fifth in the conference in shots and sixth in shots per game (2.61).
2009 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the CSUN program.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2009 graduate of Birmingham High School… two-sport athlete for the Patriots, Villalobos played at midfield and forward for the soccer team and doubled for the tennis team…as captain of the soccer team, he led Birmingham to a 2009 West Valley League Championship…named to the All-City First Team and received a West Valley League Most Valuable Player award in 2009…broke a school record with 32 goals during his senior year…2008 All-League First Team and All-City Third Team honoree…won the 2007 State Championship with Rampage FC…received first team All-League and second team All-City honors during his sophomore year.
PERSONAL: Son of Ismael and Maira Villalobos… majoring in sports medicine…has a sister, Andrea and a brother, Joel…favorites include Real Madrid, soccer player David Villa and musician Kanye West…chose Northridge because of the scholarship he was offered…greatest sports moment was his entire senior season at Birmingham…as a superstition, he wears the same cleats until he loses…the most famous person he has ever met was Lil Wayne…can't imagine going a week without kicking a ball.
