OUTDOOR: Ran season-best in the 100m when he placed fourth at the Apr. 23 CSUN Invitational in a time of :11.16...posted :11.16 again at the Apr. 30 UC Riverside Sprints Invitational for a sixth-place showing...ran :11.20 in the 100m during the prelims of the Big West Championship May 14...was a member of the CSUN 4x100m relay that finished seventh at the Big West Championship May 15 (:43.28).
INDOOR: Did not compete.
PRIOR TO CSUN: A member of the men’s track and field team at Merritt College from 2019-20…posted career bests in the 100m (:10.81w) and 200m (:21.82w) at the 2019 NorCal Championship…finished eighth in the 200m at the NorCal Championships…finished second in the 100m at the 2020 University of California Opener…won the 100m at the 2020 Chabot Relays.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2018 graduate of McClymonds High School…lettered in football and track and field…named second-team All-Conference in football…football teams won two state championships, two CIF NorCal titles, and three conference championships…qualified for the state track meet as a sophomore…graduated with a 3.2 grade point average.

PERSONAL: Son of Kim Johnson…a commuincation studies major...favorites include the Philadelphia Eagles, Noah Lyles, Chris Paul, Patrick Mahomes, Kevin Hart, Zendaya, Cobra Kai, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, French Fries, 112, NYSNC, and Eminem…chose CSUN because he always wanted to be in the Los Angeles area and he feels now is his time…his greatest sports moment so far is making the interception that clinched his team’s state football title during his junior year of high school…feels the best thing about being an athlete is the connection you build with teammates and the excitement of competition…his greatest hero is his mom because she is the strongest person she knows.
