OUTDOOR: Dela Cruz competed in six outdoor meets ... finished 21st in the long jump with his leap of 6.83m (22-5) at the Big West Outdoor Championships (5/16/25) ... recorded a PR in the long jump of 7.14m (23-5.25), taking sixth at the Steve Scott Invitational (5/2/25) ... placed fourth in the long jump with his leap of 6.86m (22-6.25) at the Trojan Invitational (3/22/25) ... earned Big West All-Academic Team honors.Â
INDOOR: Competed in one meet ... took eighth place in the long jump with a mark of 6.69m (21-11.5) at the Lumberjack Team Challenge (1/17/25).Â
CSUN - 2024 (Junior)
OUTDOOR: Dela Cruz competed in five meets on the season ... finished 14th in the long jump with a mark of 6.97m (22-10.5) at the Big West Championships (5/10/24) ... set a new PR in the long jump with a leap of 7.03m (23-0.75) at the Steve Scott Invitational (4/26/24) ... posted a PR in the 100m with a time of 11.12 at the Vince O'Boyle Classic (3/29/24) ... earned Big West All-Academic Team honors.
INDOOR: Competed in three meets ... recorded a season best and finished 12th in the long jump with a mark of 6.79m (22-3.5) at the MPSF Championships (2/25/24) ... finished 10th in the long jump with a leap of 6.60m (21-8) at the Friday Night Ax 'Em Open (1/12/24) ... named to the MPSF All-Academic Team.

OUTDOOR: Competed in seven long jumps during the outdoor season ... posted a new outdoor-best of 22-5 at the Beach Invitational ... season-best finish was a sixth at the UC Riverside Chris Rinne Twilight ... ran the 200m at the Fresno State Bulldog Classic, posting a time of 22.97 ... chosen Academic All-Conference.
INDOOR: Entered three long jumps, recording a season-best 20-8 1/2 at the Spokane Indoor Challenge ... ran the 60m twice, with a best of 7.20 coming at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational ... named Academic All-MPSF.
CSUN - 2022 (Freshman)
OUTDOOR: Saw action in the 100m and 200m at the season opening Cal Poly Open ... finished fifth in the 100m (11.23) and eighth in the 200m (23.24) ... lowered 200m best to 22.70 with an eighth-place showing at the UCSB Invitational ... only turn in the long jump came at UCSB where he went 22-1.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2021 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School…won the Metro League Championship in the 100m and 200m in 2019 … helped JFK to a second-place finish in the 4x100m and 4x400m relay in 2019 … prep bests were 10.93 in the 100m, 22.19 in the 200m, and 22-9 in the long jump … named Team MVP and Team Most Improved during career … also competed in basketball.

Son of Rogelio Dela Cruz and Richalene Frani Dela Cruz … a Kinesiology-Applied Fitness major...favorites include the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant, Paul Walker, Zendaya, The Flash, Initial D, Pasta, The Beatles, Rod Wave, and YouTube … chose CSUN because of its diverse program … says greatest sports moment so far is getting PR's consistently during his senior season which caught the interest of college coaches … says the best thing about being an athlete is the feeling of achieving a goal that you worked so hard for … says the toughest thing about being an athlete is are practices … says the best athlete he has competed against is Curtis Williams in the long jump … the most famous person he has me is Jo Koy … would like to have met Mr. Bean … would like to switch places for one day with Elon Musk … would like to have dinner with Kobe Bryant and Zendaya … the best advice he has been given is let things come to you … his advice to young people is do what you want in life and stick to it … says his greatest heroes are his high school and summer track coaches because they have supported him so much and stuck with him as he grew up and improved.
