Shaun Crespi joined the CSUN Sports Medicine staff in September of 2024 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. She works primarily with the Matador men’s volleyball and men's and women's track & field programs.
Prior to CSUN, Crespi worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at UC Santa Barbara, where she worked with the men's soccer, softball, and men’s golf teams.
Crespi earned her master's degree in athletic training from California State University, Long Beach in 2023. While at Long Beach State, Crespi researched her master’s thesis on the topic of mental health support on injury recovery timelines and was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student Award within the kinesiology department.
Before she earned her master’s degree, Crespi played two years of professional volleyball in Hungary and the Faroe Islands.
Crespi earned her bachelor of science degree in exercise science from Seattle Pacific University in 2019. She has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association since 2021 and has been a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer since May 2023.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dog Bowie, traveling with her boyfriend, and painting/reading.
