Brian O'Gorman appeared in 14 matches and 33 sets as a sophomore... earned five starts at middle blocker ... concluded the season with 17 kills (0.52 kps), 21 blocks (0.64 bps) and four digs... hit .273 on 33 swings over the course of the season ... posted a career-high six kills in the season-opener against Pacific (Jan.4) where he also took a career-high 12 swings to hit .333 ... also had a career-high seven blocks against the Tigers ... had a perfect two kills in two swings at No. 2 UCLA (Feb. 14) ... recorded a career-high three digs against No. 7 UC Irvine (Feb. 21) ... at 6-10 is the tallest player on the CSUN roster.Â

O'Gorman appeared in 10 matches and 20 sets as a redshirt freshman... finished his first season with 11 kills (0.55 kps) while hitting .529 on 17 attacks ... also recorded six blocks (0.30), three digs and one assist ... earned his first collegiate start in the season finale at second-ranked Long Beach State (Apr. 13) and responded with a season-high four kills in seven swings (.286) to go with three blocks and two digs ... also had four kills at fourth-ranked UC Irvine (Apr. 10) while hitting .800 on five attacks ... posted his first collegiate kill in the Matadors' 3-0 win over Concordia (Jan. 16).Â

Kennedy High School in Bellmore, NY ... was an All-County middle blocker from 2009-2011 ... was named a 2010-11 second team High School All-American by the AVCA ... the Cougars were three-time Nassau County High School volleyball champions ... also earned All-County honors as a center for the Cougars basketball team in 2010-11 and was selected to the County All-Star Basketball Team in 2011 ... volleyball team was coached by Dennis Ringel ... was a member of the National Honor Society and Tri-M National Music Honor Sociey ... also played for the Long Island Volleyball Club ... graduated in 2011 with a 3.55 grade point average.
