Malcolm King appeared in 16 matches and 55 of CSUN's 111 sets as a sophomore in 2024 ... started 15 matches at middle blocker ... finished with a season-high 48 kills while averaging 0.87 kills per set ... ranked fifth among CSUN attackers with a .337 hitting percentage on 95 attacks ... also finished the season with 45 total blocks (6 solo), 17 digs, and a season-high 12 aces ... his 0.82 blocks per set average was third-best on the Matadors ... pounded a career-high nine kills on 12 swings to hit .667 in CSUN's 3-2 win over No. 16 Princeton (Jan. 19) ... hit a career-best .833 with five kills on six errorless swings against No. 20 George Mason (Jan. 6) ... served a career-high five aces in the Matadors' straight-set win over Central State (Jan. 27) ... had six kills (.444) while matching his career high with three digs against top-ranked Long Beach State (Apr. 5) ... notched a season-high six blocks in CSUN's 3-1 win over Harvard (Jan. 12).

King appeared in 20 matches and 46 sets in his freshman season ... was named to the Big West All-Freshman Team, becoming the eighth CSUN freshman named to the team since 2018 ... finished the season with 40 kills (0.87 kps) while hitting .267 on 90 swings ... also had 43 blocks in 46 sets which was a team-leading 0.93 blocks per set average (sixth in the Big West) ... added five aces and 12 digs during his first season ... posted his first collegiate kill against No. 10 USC at the UCSB Asics Invitational (Jan. 6) and made his first collegiate start against Vanguard (Feb. 1) ... put down a season-high five kills against No. 6 Stanford (Feb. 3) and against Westcliff (Feb. 22) ... hit a season-best .600 with three kills on five errorless attacks in CSUN's 3-2 win at No. 10 Stanford (Mar. 3) ... posted a season-high nine blocks. along with three kills, against Daemen (Mar. 18).

King lettered in volleyball as an outside hitter at Long Beach Poly High School in Long Beach, Calif. ... earned Most Valuable Player honors as well as first-team All-Moore League accolades ... was a starter and team captain for the Jackrabbits and coach Sid Davidson ... graduated in 2022.
