Owen Douphner appeared in all 27 matches and 86 of CSUN's 97 sets as a redshirt sophomore ... earned All-Big West honorable mention honors for the first time in his career ... led the Matadors with a career-high 904 assists, averaging 9.42 assists per set, which ranked second in the Big West ... also ranked 17th in the Big West in digs per set (1.24) and 19th in blocks per set (0.65) ... finished the season with a team-high 21 aces (0.22 saps), 71 kills (0.74 kps), 119 digs (1.24 dps), and 62 blocks (0.65 bps) ... was named Big West Setter of the Week on Jan. 26.

CSUNÂ - 2024 (Freshman)
Douphner appeared in 27 matches and 61 sets in his first season at CSUN in 2024 ... finished his debut season with 62 assists (1.02 aps) which ranked second on the team ... also had nine digs (0.15 dps), six blocks (0.10 bps), and three aces (0.05 saps) while posting five kills on six errorless attacks to hit .833 for the season ... recorded season-highs of 14 assists, two kills, and one ace in the Matadors' 3-0 win over Cal Lutheran (Jan. 16) ... also notched 14 assists along with a season-high two digs against top-ranked Long Beach State (Apr. 6) ... recorded his first collegiate assist in CSUN's 3-1 win over NJIT at the UCSB Asics Invitational (Jan. 5) ... also reached double figures in assists, handing out 11 against The Master's University (Feb. 9).Â
HARTÂ HIGH SCHOOL
Douphner lettered in volleyball at Hart High School in Newhall, Calif. ... as an outside hitter, was named a second-team AVCA All-American following his senior season ... also earned CIF and Foothill League Player of the Year awards ... playing for coach Loy Mueller, the Indians won the Foothill League and CIF Division 4 championships ... finished his senior season with team-highs of 534 kills, 48 blocks and 68 aces ... also picked up first-team all-league honors in 2022 and second-team all-league honors in 2021 ... won the Coaches Award in 2021 ... finished with the highest cumulative GPA in 2022 ... was a teammate of current Matador Hank Kaufman ... graduated in 2023.
