Sean Mitchell appeared in 10 matches and 30 sets as a redshirt sophomore ... finished the season with 27 digs which ranked seventh on the team ... averaged 0.90 digs per set over 30 sets ... also added three assists on the season ... reached double figures for the first time in his career with 10 digs against Concordia (Jan. 10) ... also had eight digs in what turned out to be the season-finale at No. 12 UCLA (Mar. 5) ... handed out a pair of assists in CSUN's 3-0 win over Vanguard (Feb. 21).Â

Mitchell appeared in six matches and 15 sets in his first season at CSUN as a true freshman in 2018 ... started three matches at libero ... finished the season with 20 digs while averaging 1.33 digs per set ... had a season-high seven digs in his collegiate debut and CSUN season opener against Saint Francis (Jan. 4) ... posted four digs and a season-high three assists in the Matadors' 3-0 win over UC Merced (Jan. 12) ... also had four digs and a pair of assists in CSUN's four-set loss at No. 10 Lewis (Jan. 25).Â
EASTLAKE HIGH SCHOOL
Mitchell lettered all four years in volleyball at Eastlake High School in Chula Vista, Calif. ... earned first team All-Metro League honors his sophomore through senior years ... was named All-City as a senior in 2017 ... the Titans won league championships in both 2016 and 2017 seasons under coach Alex Garibay ... also played basketball ... graduated in 2017 with a 3.4 grade point average.
