Jalen Phillips appeared in all 29 matches and 108 of CSUN's 111 sets in his second season ... earned first-team AVCA All-America and first-team All-Big West honors ... is the first Matador named to the AVCA first-team since Kevin McKniff and Jacek Ratazczak in 2010 ... was a three-time Big West Offensive Player of the Week (Jan. 20, Feb. 24, Apr. 14) ... led CSUN with a career-high 456 kills, averaging 4.22 kills per set, which ranked second in the Big West and fourth in the nation ... also ranked third in the Big West in points, averaging 4.81 per set and was 13th in hitting percentage at .293 ... reached double digits in kills 23 times in 29 matches while hitting .288 on a team-high 983 attacks ... put down a career-high 34 kills in CSUN's 3-2 win at No. 10 UC San Diego on Apr. 12 ... also had career-highs in aces (29), digs (118), and blocks (54) this season ... was CSUN's kills leader in 23 of the teams' 29 matches, reaching 20 or more kills in a match seven times ... heads into his third season with 796 career kills.

Phillips appeared in 28 of CSUN's 29 matches and 104 sets in his first season on the active roster ... earned honorable mention All-Big West honors in addition to Big West All-Freshman Team accolades ... was also named a Freshman All-American by Off The Block ... was a four-time Big West Freshman of the Week (Jan. 22, Feb. 5, Apr. 8, Apr. 15) ... had an impressive debut season with 340 kills (3.27 kps) while hitting .293 on 702 attacks ... finished the season ranked fourth in the Big West in kills per set and 10th in hitting percentage ... also finished his first season with 104 digs (1.00 dps), 54 blocks (0.52 bps), and 13 aces ... had double figures in kills in 18 of his 28 matches ... made his CSUN debut with nine kills on 16 swings (.313) against No. 7 Grand Canyon at the UCSB Invitational (Jan. 4) ... pounded a season-high 21 kills on .485 hitting against No. 16 Princeton (Jan. 19) ... also served a season-high five aces to go with five digs and three blocks for 27.5 points against the Tigers ... notched 19 kills on a season-high 40 swings against top-ranked Long Beach State in the season finale at the Outrigger Big West Championship (Apr. 19).
