2019-20 (SENIOR): Started all 31 games...averaged 1.1 blocks (34), the fourth most in the Big West Conference...averaged 5.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game...reset career high with 14 points at San Francisco Nov. 16...reset career high with 12 rebounds at UC Riverside Mar. 7...blocked a career high five shots against Indiana State Nov. 30 in the third-place game of the Pacific Tournament...selected Academic All-Conference.
2018-19 (JUNIOR): Played in 30-of-31 CSUN games…averaged 2.9 points and 2.9 rebounds per game…recorded 28 assists, seven blocks, and three blocks…started in native Nebraska at Omaha, playing a season high 24 minutes…scored season high eight points at UC Irvine Jan. 12…grabbed season best seven rebounds at Hawai’i Jan. 17...named Academic All-Conference.
2017-18 (SOPHOMORE): Missed the first 11 games due to injury...would end up appearing in 16 contest, starting nine times...averaged 3.1 points and 3.0 rebounds...scored a season best nine points against Cal State Fullerton Jan. 18...grabbed a season best nine rebounds against Long Beach State Feb. 8.
2016-17 (FRESHMAN): Played in 23 games, starting twice (at Washington and Weber State)…averaged 1.7 points and 2.3 rebounds per game…was the team's high scorer on Jan. 11 at UC Irvine with 12 points, a season best...in her first collegiate game, went 3-for-6 to shoot .500 from the free throw line...had a season-best nine rebounds in Matadors' win vs. Hawai'i.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2016 graduate of Ralston High School…named to the All-State team and All-Conference honors as a senior…chosen All-Conference as a junior and was twice named team MVP…set school records in multiple categories…selected Female Athlete of the Year by her high school as a senior…an All-State softball selection.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Jodell and Scott Shymkewicz…majoring in public health…has one sister, Allison…favorites include the Nebraska Cornhuksers, Doug McDermott, Will Ferrell, Blake Lively and "Love and Basketball"…best advice she has been given is "there may be people that have more talent than you, but there's no excuse for anyone to work harder"…advice to young people is "always work hard and follow your dreams"…lists Eric Jensen as her greatest hero for helping her become a better athlete and get to Division I athletics.
