Mai Narasaki-Jara will begin her third season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Matador program in the Fall of 2019. Narasaki-Jara is a former CSUN women’s tennis player, lettering for the Matadors in 2002.

She is currently a Lecturer and the Director of Adapted Aquatics Program at the Abbott and Linda Brown Western Center for Adaptive Aquatic Therapy / Center of Achievement (COA) for the Department of Kinesiology at CSUN. Â
Naraski-Jara administers more than 20 adapted aquatic therapeutic exercise classes at the COA. She has worked with a wide variety of people with disabilities; ranging from children to adults having mild to severe conditions. As a clinical supervisor for the COA, she evaluates, designs, and implements customized adapted aquatic exercises that are specific to individual needs.
She is also a member of the faculty at Oxnard College in the Department of Health. Narasaki-Jara earned her B.S. in Kinesiology /Athletic Training in 2003 from CSUN. She earned her M.S. in Kinesiology/Adapted Physical Activity from CSUN in 2007.
