Cara Crowder appeared in two matches and six games as a true freshman ... had two kills and four errors in nine total swings with both kills coming in the season-opening win over Fresno State (Aug. 24) ... also had two digs and four blocks in the win ... also appeared in one game, recording one dig, of Northridge's three-set sweep over Mercer (Aug. 31).
CHRISTIAN BROTHERS HS Crowder was a four-year starter at Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento, Calif. ... earned First Team All-Sacramento/Joaquin County honors as an outside hitter in both 2005 and 2006 .. was also chosen as league MVP in 2006 ... recorded 307 kills, 309 digs and 68 aces as a senior ... also picked up Honorable Mention all-league accolades in 2003 and 2004 ... the Falcons finished second in the state in Div. IV and were NorCal champions ... Christian Brothers finished with a 41-6 record over her four seasons ... graduated in 2007.
