CSUN - 2019 (Redshirt Sophomore)
Hannah Merjil appeared in 20 matches and 64 sets during her sophomore season ... started 14 matches ... finished second on the team with a career-high 285 assists while averaging 6.02 assists per set which ranked 11th in the Big West ... has 666 career assists in 123 sets in two seasons at CSUN ... also posted 108 digs (1.69 dps), 11 blocks, 10 kills and four aces on the season ... had three double-doubles giving her seven in her Matador career ... recorded a season-high 37 assists in two matches; at Portland State (Sept. 14) and at UC Riverside (Oct. 10) ... had 31 assists and a season-high 13 digs against Santa Clara (Sept. 5) ... had three kills against both Morgan State and Portland State and notched a career-high six blocks at UC Riverside (Oct. 10) ... was one of seven Matador players named to the Big West Academic All-Conference Team.
CSUN - 2018 (Redshirt Freshman)
Merjil appeared in 17 matches playing in 59 sets in her first season on the active roster ... made eight starts at setter ... ranked third on the Matadors with 281 assists while averaging 4.76 assists per set which ranked second ... finished the season with 110 digs (1.86 dps) and 12 aces which was the fifth-most on the squad ... ranked fourth on the team with four double-doubles ... notched her first collegiate double-double with 26 assists, 12 digs and a season-high four aces in the Matadors' five-set win at Sacramento State (Aug. 24) handed out a CSUN season-high 41 assists against Utah State in the Hornet Invitational in Sacramento (Aug. 25) ... recorded 18 assists and a season-high 14 digs in CSUN's 3-1 win over Southern Illinois (Sept. 7) ... posted 31 assists and 11 digs in CSUN's 3-2 comeback win at Northern Arizona (Sept. 8) ... was one of four Matadors named to the 2018 Big West All-Academic team.

Merjil redshirted her first season at CSUN in 2017.
GARCES MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL
Merjil lettered all four years as a setter/opposite at Garces Memorial High School in Bakersfield, Calif. ... played for three different coaches in her high school career including former CSUN assistant coach John Price in 2016 ... earned first team All-Area honors as a senior in 2016 as well as first team all-league accolades ... the Rams finished 22-11 and won the CIF Central Section Div. II championship in 2016 ... was also named All-Area and all-league in 2013, 2014 and 2015 ... was a two-time team captain (2015-16) ... graduated in 2017 with a 4.34 grade point average.

Born in Bakersfield, Calif. ... parents are Melissa and Eduardo Merjil ... has one older sister, Ashley who graduated from CSU-Bakersfield ... favorites include the New Orleans Saints and Portland Trail Blazers, Drew Brees, the TV show "One Tree Hill" and the movie "Rocky IV" ... says the best thing about being an athlete is "the feeling of winning" and the toughest is "always missing friends' events" ... says if she had a million dollars she would "buy an island in the Bahamas" ... majoring in Civil Engineering.
