BANDON, Ore. - Cal State Northridge men's golf posted a two-shot improvement over Friday's opening round but that couldn't prevent the Matadors from slipping from 11th to 14th heading into Sunday's final round.
After carding a round of 303 on Friday, CSUN finished at 301 on Saturday but dropped after being overtaken by a trio of teams. The Matadors (604) head into Sunday's final round needing to catch four teams to reach the top-10. Colorado (577) has a six-shot lead over San Jose State (583) in the 18-school team chase.
Ryan Green moved into the individual top-20 after carding a one-over par 73. Green, who is just two strokes out of the top-10, opened with a two-over 74 on Friday and currently sits 19th at three-over 147.

Kyler Sauer (78-76) remained in the exact position he began the day, tied for 66th following a second-round four-over 76.
