Matadors Sit Third Through 36 Holes at Santa Clara Colby Invitational

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Three CSUN golfers are in the top-10 and the Matadors are in third place after two rounds of the Santa Clara Colby Invitational at Silver Creek Valley C.C.
Rebecca Bostrom leads the Matadors as she is currently tied for fourth at seven-over 151. Bostrom was tied for the lead after storming out to a one-over 73 in round one. The sophomore slipped to a six-over 78 in the afternoon round but is just three shots off the lead heading into the final round.
Arinda Bhanaraksa is also firmly in the hunt as she is currently tied for sixth at eight-over 152. Bhanaraksa opened Monday with a two-over 74 and followed up with six-over 78 in round two.
Elisabeth Haavardsholm made it three Matadors in the top-10 as she is tied for 10th at 13-over 157 after posting scores of 78-79.
Cesilie Hagen struggled in the opening round carding an 86 before recovering with a four-over 76 in the second round. She is currently tied for 22nd at 18-over 162. Shenna DeLeon rounded out the CSUN squad as she carded consecutive rounds of 86 and is tied for 39th at 28-over 172.
UC Riverside (614) is the team leader through two rounds as the Highlanders have a four-shot lead over Cal Poly. A total of eight teams are competing.
